Scott Wilkinson Planning is a specialist planning consultancy based in Auckland which focuses on the provision of town planning and resource management services to private sector, local government and central government clients.
With over 25 years expereince, all company personnel are experienced practitioners with significant experience and expertise in all aspects of the planning and resource management process.
Andrew is a consultant planner who has practised since 1998 in planning and resource management and regularly provides planning advice to both the private sector and local authorities on development projects throughout the country and in particular within the Auckland Region.
This has included attending Environment Court hearings and mediations as a planning expert and attending Council hearings.
Andrew also has extensive experience and knowledge of the planning issues associated with the establishment of new telecommunications infrastructure throughout the country.
Robert has been practising since 1992 and has a wide range of experience in all aspects of the resource management process. His skills include the management of large or complex consent applications and he has specialist skills and experience in affordable housing projects, subdivision and development of Special Housing Areas, subdivision projects, coastal planning projects and projects that are located in sensitive or rural receiving environments.
Robert is often called upon as an expert planning witness before Council and Environment Court hearings and has achieved certification (with merit) as a commissioner under the Ministry for the Environment's Good Decisions programme.
He is currently on the panel of independent hearing commissioners for Auckland Council.
Andy has been practicing as a planner since 2002. He worked as a planner in the UK for six years before returning to New Zealand to work for Auckland Council as a Senior and Principal Planner, including a pivotal role in the Practice and Training Team implementing the Auckland Unitary Plan.
He also worked for Kaipara District Council as a Team Leader focussing on rural planning matters. Andy’s expertise involves providing pre-planning and due diligence advice, the preparation of complex and integrated resource consent applications and the presentation of expert evidence at Council hearings.
Tara has been practising as a planner since completing her Master of Planning degree in early 2010. She began her career as a local authority consents planner, where she gained experience processing a wide range of resource consent applications, including residential dwellings, subdivisions, retail premises, retirement villages, comprehensive residential developments, industrial proposals and more.
Tara’s experience has also included providing pre-application advice, facilitating pre-hearing meetings, presenting evidence at hearings and attending environment court mediation. More recently, she has been involved with Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan submissions, proposals for large scale Special Housing Area developments, affordable housing projects, writing submissions, as well as preparing a variety of resource consent applications and providing expert planning advice.
Rosie has recently finished her Masters in Urban Planning and Urban Design with Honours at the University of Auckland. Writing her Dissertation about the impact of the ‘urban heat island’ effect associated with intensification and the mitigation effect of green spaces within central Auckland. Rosie has also had experience working at Auckland Council in Resource Consents where she gained valuable experience in Local Government process and provided preliminary planning advice during the implementation of the Unitary Plan. Rosie is currently providing private clients with pre planning and due-diligence advice and preparation of complex and streamline resource consent applications.
